Getting the Heat Right

One quick tip: these are high-wattage tubes, which means they put out a massive amount of heat.**Check your cooling fans.**If they’re clogged with dust, the oven gets too hot, and your lamps will burn out way faster than they should. Built to Take the Heat
We use high-purity quartz glass because this stuff goes through a brutal thermal cycle—heating up and cooling down over and over. We also use a halogen cycle to stop the tungsten from evaporating. This keeps the glass clear instead of letting it turn dark and cloudy, so the IR energy actually gets where it needs to go. As for the fit? We use standard R7s or SK15 connectors. They slide right in and lock. This is important because a loose connection is a disaster waiting to happen. It creates arc points that can literally melt your socket. Our lamps fit snug, making the swap fast and painless during your next teardown.
