The Tricky Part: Placement
To make this work, you need lamps with a decent amount of power. We usually go with quartz glass because it lets the heat pass through without getting blocked. Infrared works like a flashlight—it only heats what it can “see.” If you have a deep ledge or a heavy shower curtain, those spots stay cold and damp. You have to actually look at the room and figure out where the “shadows” are. If you miss a spot, you’re still fighting moisture.

The best part? You don’t have to rely so heavily on those loud, rattling exhaust fans. Fans are great for moving air, but infrared actually pulls the moisture out of the walls themselves. It creates a crisp, dry feeling in the room. If you want to make it effortless, just hook the lamps up to a timer or a humidity sensor.
